Snowfalls continued today at Mount Hotham.
Tomorrow the Summit Quad Chair will open and on Thursday The Big D will see its first skiers and riders hitting the slopes.
For the coming weekend there will be five lifts opening including Road Runner and Upper Playground. The Village loop conditions will be assessed for opening also.
By 7.30pm tonight the resort was expected to reach the 24-hour mark for a straight run of snowmaking and at 4pm had produced 5300 cubic metres of snow, that’s 530 truckloads!
More than 30cm of snow covers what was bare grass just last Saturday.
Snowfalls are forecast to continue through until Thursday and then start again at the end of the weekend.
Forecast cold temperatures will provide optimum snowmaking conditions across the mountains.
Lifts will open from 9am to 5pm (weather dependent). Prices for lift tickets only are adult $25 and child $15 for Wednesday and will move to the following for Thursday, June 11 through to Sunday, June 14 only.

The Hotham Snowsports School will open for group lessons from Hotham Central only for both children and adults. Lessons will be available from 10am to noon.
Hotham Sports will be open from 8am to 5pm for rentals, Pinnacle Kids at Big D from 9am to 3pm starting Thursday, Zirky’s from 11am and 3pm and Pinnacle Kids + Dinner Plain store from 9am to 5pm on the weekend.
