Snowfalls have continued in the Victorian Alps today and more lifts will be opening this weekend, including Village chairlift, Heavenly Valley, at Mt Hotham.
There are super deals for this weekend only to get people started on the slopes.
For only $69 (adult) or $49 (child) skiers will receive a one-day lift pass, two-hour group lesson, equipment hire, lunch at Swindlers and free resort entry.
With six lifts opening on Saturday for skiing and snowboarding, visitors can enjoy their first turns on Village, Road Runner, Playground, Summit, Summit Trainer or the Big D.
Entry to the resort from either direction will be free for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tobogganing will be available at both Hotham Village and Dinner Plain.
The snowbase is now more than 38cm and with 13cm of fresh snow falling overnight the conditions are off to a fantastic start.
The snowmaking team has been working hard and in the last 12 hours pumped out more than 1100 truckloads of snow in the main village and Big D areas.
Cold temperatures are predicted to stay throughout the week, with a maximum of minus 6 degrees forecast for Thursday and Friday.
