Mt Baw Baw will launch Australia’s first Big AirBag this Queens Birthday Weekend.

The Big AirBag is the most exciting and talked about addition to the Australian slopes in 2009.

Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort CEO Leona Turra is committed to freestylers, providing them with the opportunity to perfect techniques, spins and flips.

The Big AirBag is sure to get beginners and more advanced jumpers adrenaline pumping.

“The Big AirBag is the coolest thing since sliced bread! We are so excited about the Big AirBag and the fact that it’s at Baw Baw!” says Leona Turra, Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort CEO.

“We are a small mountain but are able to offer lots of fun.

“It is also ideal for setting the basis for skiers and boarders to get the most out of our terrain park which is bigger and better in 2009.”

Danny Clayton, CHANNEL [V] Presenter and runner up 2009 CLEO Bachelor of the Year, will make the first official jump to open the Big AirBag on Saturday 6 June at 2pm.

Danny is an avid snowboarder and has assured everyone on the mountain that he is “going to put on a show for the first Big jump!”

The Big AirBAG is a giant fall cushion where you don’t have to worry about how to land. It’s placed in front of a ski-jump, it’ll catch any type of fall from the jump. This means that every snowboarder or skier can practice jumps without the bruises. Gotta love no bruises!

It is an ideal training method for all jumpers helping to perfect snowboard and skiing skills.

For guru freestyle snow sporters, the Big AirBag provides the optimum way of extending snowboard or skiing skills, offering an ideal training method for beginners and experienced jumpers.

The launch pad is two metres high, three and a half metres wide with the bag 15 metres long, nine metres wide and two metres high.

Over the season, Baw Baw will be running training sessions and Freestyle Camps to get the newbie’s kick started.

Danny Clayton is the presenter for B430, Channel [V]’s new series about once-in-a-lifetime experiences to try before turning 30. Series one tackles global music festivals and Danny travelled to Manchester, Scotland and Ibiza to take on some of the world’s biggest and craziest festivals.
